If you've done brake work before then you should be able to do this yourself. I consider myself a novice & successfully did the job .

both are extremely easy to rebuild. i just go to the dealer and order the rebuild kit for each and save a lot of money over buying each component new. i would also reccomend replacing the clutch hose from the slave cylinder to the hardline.

i bought new parts from the dealer - (new hose also)

i was looking over the parts to see how to put them in - the slave cyl does not make sense
to me, it has a "rubber accordian" like end with a silver metal smooth 'nipple" on it. this nipple end should go in and point towards teh back of the car. what does it connect to ? i dont see how it attached to something there is not hole for a bolt or anything.

The "silver nipple" is the end of the pushrod, it should be lined up with an indentation in the fork ontop of the transmission bellhousing.

Note to attachment: The Green outlines the trans fork and the red is the end of the slave cylinder.
