Trust me. A ported manni compliments the Sterling very well. I just got mine running today. It absolutely kicks the **** outta the RB Holley setup. Sorry for the hijack. Back to carpet.

I would like to see pictures, also. Particularly, close-up shots of the edges and the corners of the carpets.

A set of black floor mats with the Rx-7 logo embroidered in gold would be sharp! (The ones you would take out for special occassions and showing off!)

Besides, I thought the **** gave you rugburn on your knees, Tom.
You're missing my sausage, aren't you?

So Carl has completed the work on the manni, has he?

I still need to get that Sterling carbie working on mine.. (time..time..time..time...)

Recarpeting is a good idea, but keep it in the realm of $125 for the 2 back pieces and around $275 for the whole set.

Yup (if you look back, I was one of the first to reply). Still interested in rear carpet, and the piece that goes over the tailights. Burgandy interior 84 gsl-se. Hopefully yours is better quality than the original! That's not a dig at you, but a dig at the poor quality of the mazda rear carpeting!

Somebody mentioned that the rear piece may differ year to year. Mine has snaps in the lower corners which mate to ones on the floor. Don't know if that info help or hurts...

I still need color samples from each color of carpet so that i can match it up with new carpeting. Preferably, ones that aren't faded or worn too badly. If anybody wants to help get the ball rolling, i'll offer a discount for the people who send me a color sample. What were they all, black, red, brown, grey?..?..? let me know if i'm missing any. Thanks.

I'm kind of far to send you a sample, but the rear carpet is almost like indoor outdoor carpet. In other words it looks cheap. I think they should have made the cars with the same sort of "****" looking carpet in the back too. Is this the type you would intend to use, or would it be the indoor outdoor looking stuff?

What i plan to use is cut pile automotive carpet, like the stuff in the front. The stuff they used in the back must have been crap because every one's that i've seen has been missing most of the fiber, and basically looks like a nasty thin mat. And KGRAY, did you get the piece for the rear tail light panel? I am curious to see if anyone makes that, because they always seem to get lost or damaged, or just age really quickly. If no one makes it, or if they make it badly, i'll make it. Thanks

I Just pulled all my carpet out, as I'm hoping to replace it soon and I'd rather ride on bare metal than get pissed at how ugly my carpet was There's a spot underneath the metal strip where it looks like the burgundy didn't fade at all. If you tell me where to send it, I'll gladly send you a chunk in exchange for a discount on a replacement carpet set

I would buy it if it was nice fabric. Full loop, or whatever they call that kind. i dont like the Cutloop/**** type carpet. Basically, if it was good quality. then yes. Even if it cost a little more.. but im not sure what i could afford :P

David chose to be a complete dick-wad to me in emails about getting him setup as a vendor on the site. As a result his little venture is no more, at least not on this site.

Yes I agree rear carpet and replacment floor mats with the RX7 logo would be sweet with a fair price with quality I would buy a pair of floor mats as long as they were logod and exact fit as stock color black.
