Talking Civic hatch goes down to fb!

the guy i raced is a friend of mine. He has a 1995-1998 civic hatch( auto) We lined up at about 50mph i down shift the third and he floors it. I instantly pull ahead making him go back to my rear tire. Then we started to go up a slight hill he having more torque pulls up to my front tire( maybe bumper too busy driving to tell) after we get over the hill i pull ahead and he falls back to around my back area then we shut down. it was a good race. nothing big but for a pretty much stock fb i am proud.
add to kill list ( lol)

1. Corolla
2. Civic

Tied - Porsche 944.

I think maybe you were lucky. I've got the exact same car (99 hatchback) as a daily driver and its a #$^ automatic too. It's fastest pickup is flooring it at about 50 and the speed carries well to about 75 mph, and I'm pretty sure it would clean my -se or come pretty close at that speed range. From a standing start, my -se would win hands down.

No offense, but winning against a auto civic really isn't much for bragging rights. Get a aftermarket carb or something for a little extra umph, haha show him what a small little 1.1L can really do!

Maybe if it was an S2000...

I'm sure my Legacy could kill that Honda, doesn't run out of steam until about 100. I've killed a few Camaros in it, a few Mustangs, even an older Maxima (all with V6's).

Though, if I can get my hands on the right parts, I may have a monster of a car soon (thinking about a dual motor car, RWD, with some turbo lovin' and some excessive work).

Thumbs up

It wasnt meant to be a big braggin right just apparently at first it seemed like a big deal that fb beat it. I didnt put it in the kills section because its not that big of a deal for anyone. I just wanted to share with the 1st gen guys. As for mods im trying to get some headers soon.

dont worry bro, let the haters hate. be proud of your 7 altho, don't let that hatch get you thinking you would beat another hatch of the same sorts with a motor swap.

get that header on asap coupled with a nice exhuast. then go after the swapped hatches.
