Choke removal

i searched but didn't find anything as how to remove the choke cable. i have an 83 gsl. i want to know how much of the dash needs to come apart or if it even needs to come apart. i also want to know what else needs to come off or removed--thanx

why do you want to remove the choke?

its simple.. undo the cable going to the carb from under the hood,, then follow the cable to the firewall push it through,, then undernieth the dash behind the choke there is a box with wires coming out of it going to a snap connector undo that,,
now the choke pull is conected by a philips head screw located undernieth the shaft,, unscrew it,, now the actual unit is attatched to the dash by a slotted nut,, put your flathead screwdriver in one of those slots and hit it a few times to loosen it,, then twist it off... be careful not to damage your dash in the process..

thanx for the info, i have a weber intake kit and the cable isn't long enough to make the gap, so i have to get a longer cable. thanx again
