I have always wondered how the road race setup from racing beat compares noise wise to the street exhaust, apparently Mazdaspeed use to sell a lava rock muffler for rotaries for like 400bucks.

It does look good, nice.
Unfortunately my parts are probably at least a month out; unless RB is still open somehow, although I have doubts... Sounds like California has been pretty well shut down and the muffler still needs to be fabricated. Oh well...

And yeah, let's hope it ships soon even if it's a bit optimistic. They told me I should definitely have it before the 20th of next month if nothing major happened... Unfortunately I would consider the entire state of Cali shutting down rather major. Although that's just what I've heard; perhaps it's not really that bad...? We'll find out I guess.

for me it shipped the next day. i cant remember if it was ordered the 12 and shipping the 13 or the 11th and shipped the 12th. I only ordered the muffler at the time though.

most of us are working from home, i would imagine the fabrication guy would still be working from work, although they may have gone to shifts or something like that.

Slowly getting there...

I have a letter from the Governor stating that my work is explicitly categorized as a "Life Sustaining Business" and that I should show it and my badge/ID to any Civil Authority that stops me during any "Shelter In Place" orders.
I feel that anyone supplying parts or services for our cars should have similar exemption. I mean, if we are stuck at home and can't get the parts we need to work on our cars.... things could get real bad!

auto repair is exempted here, so they could be working but maybe not with a full shop. my brother builds big fancy RV's and they just went to shifts, but they are still working

Well I've finally got some good news to share on the exhaust situation. A couple days ago I received an email from RB saying that all the components are now in their hands and that assembly was/is scheduled for yesterday and today. Supposedly I might even have the components by late next week! This sure has been a long time coming; certainly looking forward to when they arrive.
The actual installation is probably three weeks out at this point, due to a few things, namely that I'm going to wait until I have parts in hand before I order the flanges to be cut. Turned out my mill access completely fell through with this whole pandemic deal, but oh well, I can still get them cut from a service for cheaper than it would cost to buy pre-made ones.
So anyway, just figured I'd give a little update. Sorta crazy that I started this exhaust stuff nearly four months ago.

Needless to say the parts didn't ship as soon as I had thought they would, however...
Yesterday afternoon I received an email from UPS and it looks like the parts are now on their way! Scheduled delivery is this coming Tuesday; we'll see if that holds true.
