this carter fuel pump to big for 13BTII s5?
lat year i asked me boss (car dealer man/auto motive shop to get me a good hi psi hi flow fuel pump so he got me a federal-mogul carter P70199 fuel pump, he toled me it was rated for 95 psi, and used on Subaru's. but from my research today it see its good for 130 psi.
the car seams to run rich, mind you im still fixing some problems but i wounder if its just to much pressure for the fuel regulator to handle, and if i should go out and buy a regulator before i save up $$ for my drive shaft? what do you guys think

One of those would probably work,except few cars have external electric fuel pumps so selection is gonna be thin.Max pressure doesnt mean a thing,EFI only operates at about 45-50psi.What matters is the volume of flow......can the pump move enough volume to maintain 50psi when the throttle is wide open and the injectors are dumping fuel out the system,into the intake? Youll have to call and ask if they can give you flow specs on whatever units they offer that are external mounted......maybe one for a V-8 Camaro or a truck.....there were a few EFI cars in the 80's that had external pumps,just dont get anything thats for a TBI engne since they only ran 12-14psi.Then you have to compare those ratings against whatever the stock TII pump's rating is.
They appear to be a factory replacment type units,hence most are going to be internal (intank) type pumps and will likely have flow rates similar to stock.It even says they are factory matched in the description.The one listed for Mazda R2 (rotary) is likely going to be for a GSL-SE since it was the only EFI rotary that had an external fuel pump.Not big enough for a TII engine. And if you got one for a TII application,its gonna be intank, which wont work in a 1st gen.
If your worried about capacity,Id look at performance pumps rather than stock replacement units.Thats why many people pony up $$$ for the Aeromotive external pump thats the size of a small dog! They arent sure about flow rates for an external pump,so that just buy whatever and end up with a pump rated to 1000HP.
My MkIV Supra pump is rated for 400hp and is tiny,fitting in the stock FC fuel pump holded I installed in my tank.Id look around and find someone that has already installed a TII engine and is running an external EFI pump.See what others are running and whats established as adequate,before you spend the money and end up with either not enough fuel,or too much money spent.

Come on now, I have the aeromotive pump (as you said, size of a small dog), but if I ever decide to goto a higher HP setup (likely) I will not need to start rebuying things.
As almost everything car related it's partially preference and what you have in mind for the final product. As Steve said though, maximum pressure doesn't mean alot...
