Unhappy carb problems and about to cry

I have a 80 rx 12a, and I just bought the holley kit, header and mini-presilencer.(all brand new from RB) Put it all in the car. And its running at 3000rpm, cant bring it down its popping and stumbling and the header is glowing like it about to explode. When i pulled off the stock intake i have a mess of vacuum lines that are just sitting there now going to nothing. It also said that the lead vacuum advance isnt used any more, so do i just take the hose off.(I did) I messed around all day with the thing. It also says in the instructions to adjust the floats and do it till the fuel just drips out of the inspection holes.(wheres the inspection holes) I have no idea what that means. Im so way over my head i cant see the end of this nightmare.

plz help!

Sounds like you have a big vacuum l;eak.
There's a hose or port or gasket that isn't sealed.
Did you remember to hook your brake booster back up?

ok dude, you'll be fine. holleys are bit different than the stock nikki. pretty simple though. ok, at each end of the carb you have the float bowls. the big box things that have a flat head screw on top. that screw adjusts the floats. do it very easily though. loosen the screw a tad and then turn the nut. dont loosen the screw too much though, cause then you will lose grip of the needle and seat assembly piece thingy i cant name it. omfg DAMNIT anyways, the sight holes!!! here we GO HELL YEA LETS ROCK! on each of those damn float bowls you will see a PLUG... tiny LITTLE FUGGIN PLUG OH MY GOD!! of some sort. you must simply unscrew it out and it basically is just a hole for gas to flow out. what you want to do is cut your fuel pump on, not the car, just the DAMN pump and set the fuel pressure to 6psi. then pull the site plugs out. adjust the floats until gas just BARELY drips out. i mean a DAMN TRICKLE AHHHHH! then lock the screw down and put the plug back in on each side. BAAAAAAAM floats are set. this right there will give you a good start. holy hell i just wrote alot, SORRY i sounded so tense. hope i helped.

Try disconnecting the throttle cable. You may have it way too tight.

ok i turn the srews out and set the floats so they are just dribbling gas out of the float sites( good so far =0). I disconnected my throttle cable and it started first shot. but still idleing at 2000rpm i checked for vacuum leaks but found nothing the said in the instrucions about a idle set behind the choke housing but i see none. getting there but not quite.

thnx for all the help so far i need it

Theres a screw you use to adjust the idle speed on the linkage near where the cable hooks up.
