Carb Issues fixed (redneck style)
So I dont know how many of you read my first post describing my carburetor issues but alas my problems have been somewhat solved. When I got my car the carb had multiple vacumn holes and was running very rich (went through a whole tank of gas within 4 hours on the highway). So I was at advanced auto parts with my roommate because we heard that an employee there was selling a 20b when we ran into the fellow that bought it before we could get to it. Next thing I know the guy is out there showing off his FB letting me scope out his carb and seeing what I might need to do to fix the dang thing. We exchange numbers and go our seperate ways. The next day I give him a call and we meet up at his house to rummage through his parts car and just see what we can do for my poor excuse for a carburetor. Like a tornado this guy decends upon my car plugging holes up with screws, tubing, screws shoved INTO tubing and the best of all... He reaches up, grabs a branch off a tree, tapers it off, and makes a plug out of it. It was the most ingenious thing Ive ever seen. All of a sudden my car starts right up, I can actually adjust my idle (was idling at 3krpms), and it revs like a son of a bitch, especially when those mechanical secondarys kick in. I went to Lowes last night and purchased some rubber plugs, a screw for my distributor (so it doesnt move all around) and some jb weld to hold it all in place. Next project is to modify the air cleaner assembly until my holley intake kit comes in from racingbeat seeing as how its on back order. Anyway, back to work!

those are what we call vacuum leaks, i do love the branch in the vacuum line tho. The next owner's gonna loooooove you! Also i don't think sloppin any jb weld on your dizzy to hold it in place is a good idea, fix that part properly. Your timing might be off.
