Carb choices

Currently have a 12a "mildly ported" (probably not at all! done before I bought it) with the nikki carb and linked secondaries. Also have extractors, nest gone but need to power up a bit.

Thinking about a holley 465 because they are cheap! What particular one should I check out? There seem to be lots of different choke setups etc.

or should I work on the nikki?

Or ... I have a weber 36 DCD (like a small IDA in appearance) but haven't used it because I thought it would be too small, is it?

OR OR planning to bridge in the next two years should I go bigger?

That sounds pretty hot nothing like a good street race. esp when you win! I win nothing in my 7 unfortunately. My previous car mx6 turbo was good for a win with heaps of boost . I miss going quik!
couple of quick questions : What have you done to the nikki?
do you have info somewhere on this?
are there any good sites for info on this?

Do a quick search on "nikki carb" or posts made by Sterling in the 1st gen forum and archive.
Check out Sterling and RX7carl´s homepage
http://www.pbandjracing.com/index.html
as well and you might find the info you´re looking for

Good luck!

just get a wideband, and start jetting. when you get your jets pretty dialed in, then start messing with the air bleeds. oh and i didn't mention i'm cramming boost thru my nikki.

Agreed the 36 is too small. If you can get a good rotary modded Holley and manifold then get it. Or maybe one of our modded Nikkis.

I just added one of Sterling and Carl's modded Nikki carbs and all I can say is WOW! Definitely the best bang for the buck around in my opinion...
