Car wont start after a brake job????

The title might be a bit misleading, but that what happaned.

About a week ago i finaly got my 83 fixed. It's been running short trips of no more then 5km a day for the past week.
Then i parked it for a day to get my front brakes changed, and to get my rear wiper working.
yesturday i fianly got all of that taken care of and decided to go for a ride to test my new brakes, to find that my car wont start.

It would not start at all at my first 2 attempts, but on the 3rd it started without any difficulties.

It ran for about 30 seconds as i was warming up the engine, and giving it a bit of rpm, then it just died on me. I tried a couple more times with no luck. I checked the carburator and it was dry with not much fuel smell. I checked the fuel hose going to the carb and there was fuel there, but it still wouldn't start.
The metal cilinder connecting the fuel line to the carburator, which i prosume to be the fuel filter had fuel in it, which i was able to blow out quite easily.
I left it alone for an hour as i had to take care of other things, came back and was able to start it for about 10 seconds with the help of the choker. After that was not able to start it again.

I know that the brake change is not the cause of this but when i was working on the rear wiper i changed 3 blown fuses, but since my fuse box cover is missing, i don't know what they where for.

Does anyone know what could be wrong?
Could it be the fuel filter or the fuel pump?

p.s. Where is the fuel pump located? i tried to find it by using the manuals but with no luck?:P

Thanks in advance

Fuel filter is always a good place to start. If you don't know when the last time it was replaced, just do it. Then check the fuel pump. After that, I'd pull the plugs and check/clean those.

In my sig line is a link to the FSMs, carb manual, etc.. Download and start reading.

issue solved

thanks for the advice,

i was able to find the source of my problem by looking at the fuse box from a 79 models.

It was my stupid mistake, I though the fuse on the side was a spare fuse so i took it to replace another blown 10amp fuse. But it was not a spare one, but the fuel pump one.
I put a new one, and it works now.

^^ wont make that mistake again.

*L* Don't worry about it, we've all done some really dumb things and not even paying attention. I've gotten my wires crossed a couple times and wondered why things didn't work.
