the only reason im keeping it automatic is because its original, and im curious to see how it will run with the turbo motor .... just punch it and go , you dont have to take your foot off the gas to shift like a manual tranny.

If you're gonna run a boosted 13b I'd recommend looking at beefing up that tranny, heh.

just start with low boost and slowly dial it up till it lets go Then report back and tell us how much hp a stock auto is worth.

But really...that damn car is low. I bet it rides like a dunp truck with that much cut off lowering springs.

does it bottom out at all like that?

how about binding in the rear? I've always heard that the geometery is way off if the car is that low in the rear.

Also, what size/offset are those wheels?

i made the watts link adjustable so it won't bind up(also to center the rear end) the car handles great! its a rough ride though

I've driven a 13B turbo 1st gen running a beefed up auto with a custom 4000rpm converter. Great fun and nice chirps through the gears.

Great looking car BTW.

they are for a 12a car and are only available used ... unfortinatly most of the new style wheels are ugly and if you find some that do look good they don't make them in the 115 mm. bolt pattern! if you find some old school rims you like you can clean them up , like i did! leave me a pm and if i come across any i'll let you know!

Finally!!! Somebody agrees with me! New ones are all butt-ugly and look like chrome plated ceiling fans (immho)

BTW - nice car! Sure looks like it would rub, though!

The wheel in the upper left of this pic is what I tried to put on my car but it was too wide it's too damn bad because it is exactly what I want. It came off a friends supra. If you ever run across another set of them that will fit a -se let me know.

thanks

would you care to elaborate on this a bit, or is it classified info??? no, seriously, i'm curious, but if it's something you don't want to discuss, i'll understand.

also, how hard would it be to use an automatic from a Gen II car?

BTW, nice ride! that's just how i like 'em ... clean, and almost understated.

You can move the center pivot on the watts link up to compensate for the axle being closer to the body, but the four link will always be binding and **** up the feel of the car. Plus I have a problem with cutting springs that aren't meant to be cut. But the car does look nice.
