whats the car doing just cranking and cranking?
There is alot of aspects that need to be looked at... The voltage of your battery, the condition of your fuel, are you actually getting fuel?, What kind of condition is your fuel pump in?, are you getting spark?
Also check that you are getting good compression... (pull the plugs and listen for the swishes (3 for each rotor) REMEBER to put the spark plug wires far away when doing this). More information of the condition is needed to help out in better detail though...

Well gas can go dormant over time, but 6-7 months may not be long enough... Try opening the butterflys on the carb (first see if there actually is gas going into your carb...) and pour a small amount of gas down the carb to see if that helps...

update: got it started for a couple of seconds then it died down and i think it killed the battery.. theres no power at all now.. ( no dash lights no nothing.. its like no power at all)
i tried putting the charger on.. and strarting it ( dash lights came on again but as soon as i tried ot start her..it made this crazy buzzzing sound.. so i stopped
dunno wat it was so i might just buy a new battery for it..

Let the battery sit on the charger over night maybe longer. and dont try starting the car with the charger plugged in, it not good for the battery.
One trick that works for me, before you turn the key press the gas pedal 3 times all the way to the floor and on third time hold it down for for 2-3 seconds then turn the key until all of the warning lights come on (you sould be able to here your fuel pump working) then turn the key back to the lock position. Finally make sure the choke is pulled all the way out and turn the key. This usally works for me if ihavnt driven my car in a while.
Let me know if that works for you but make sure your battery gets a good charge first

yeah i killed a battery this way, also chances are any fuel left in the tank will be pretty fucked now, drain it all out put on a new fuel filter and bleed the system, i would also change the plugs to be on the safe side, should start up pretty easy then.
i left mine for the same amount of time, i did battery and plugs, and just primed the carb with fresh fuel and it started first go, it would run but would no restart with that old crappy fuel in the system, so i'm goign to flush it in a week.

Just pull it down the road with a rope (the longer, the safer) and pull-start the car in 2nd gear. Don't pull it too fast, you only have to get it going about 15mph.
From my experience, you can theorize about why it won't start until you're blue in the face, but until you pull it down the road, you ain't gonna get it to start.
The reason is that the starter won't turn the engine over fast enough to A: generate compression and B: blow out the fuel which is obviously loading it up.

6-7 months isn't very long, but a marginal battery can die easily in that time, and in some locales bad gas will separate out a nasty gel that clogs the fuel feed system. Change the battery and the fuel filter first. See if dirt and goo is in the filter. You might add a gas dryer to the fuel tank to absorb water.
I had a problem starting my SE in the mornings that I finally attributed to water leaking into the combustion chamber. I gave it the Famous Temporary Internal water Seal Fix and the problem went away.
