Thanks Guys!!
X,
thats the blow off valves for the turbo, they release the pressure in the pipes when i back off the throttle, with out the the turbo would last half the time.

So little time and money
Well i'm a n00b also but it looks like a wastegate or something to divert all the excess boost the engine surely produces.
Anyways, mad props. That is one savage car!

I must give you props for the exellent work you have done. I, as well as most other people here, will probably be asking you some questions in the very near future about your project. Thanks for your efforts.

I see you removed the rubber side molding. I can't tell, but did you also remove the seam too? It looks really slick in the pic's, but the lighting is hard to tell for sure.
Anyway, I always feel real sorry for you Aussi's because of the steering linkages you have to work around for the turbo/exhaust. Glad we have so much more useful space in our Rx's here in the western hemphere were everyone drives on the correct side of the car(leftside of car on the right side of road). I suppose the underlying problem is Great Britan's fault for sending there "right hand" drive trait over with the prisioners back in the early days. LOL

<--- n00b!!!
a wastegate keeps the motor from overboosting by only letting say, 15psi pressurize the manifold... the rest is vented to the atmosphere.
a blowoff valve releases the built up pressure when you let off the throttle, to keep the turbine from kicking back and hurting itself.
the wastegate is the increasing in volume hiss when the cars accelerate, and the blowoff is the loud woosh when they shift.... basically.

so it all adds up!!
the motor is a street port, balanced, clearenced, dowelled, 2mm seals etc,
wacky rotary,
the strips were removed, they just glue on, the seam that you see there is always there even with the strips on it.
the steering box isnt that hard to get everything to fit around, if it wasnt there it would have been easier as i could have put the wastegate under the turbo where the steering box is,
thanks for the kind words guys, makes everything seem worth it when fellow rotor nuts love it as well!!

Awesome! Tequila Sunrise comes to mind when I look at that color! But... didn't you put the steering wheel on the wrong bloody side?

not to mention that,,what 6, 8, point roll cage ? is it an automatic trans ? it would look awesome with some small tubs and some big fat slicks all tucked in and under
the car. whats next,, 4 link rear ?? ladder bars ??

the cage is 6 point for the street and 8 for the strip when the side bars are bolted in,
its a stock TII tranny at the moment will fit a tremac TKO when i have popped a few of them,
i can get 26x8's under there easy now, with some guard pumping i will get some 26x10's
ill probably make the factory 4 link adjustable, with the 9in in there things are a pretty tight fit!! LOL
