Let me first start off and say,What MOST of you in the first have done to your 7,
A Civic single cam can beat most of you guys here.
It also matters if you know how to drive a rotary,I go to tracks and see guys come out the hole on an idle. That is NOT how you drag a rotary.
You dont need to be turbo to have a fast car,Theres alot of N/A that run good times, and it takes more than a "Sterling" carb
Your average first gen person here, probally dont know how good you can run from just all motor or motor and nitrous.Every kid I have seen here wants to slap on a sterling carb,or a stock second gen turbo on to a 12a to get that big whopping 200 HP you can achieve from a n/a motor (12A @ that)
My friend had a first gen,
with a Holley 600 carb (which most of you think is to BIG) single feed
N/A tranny
Kia ring/pin gear
MSD box/coils and a gutted car run low 12's
12.6 to be exact. over 100 passes on the engine for a track car.
Not to bad right?
I know theres a more than a hand full of fast first gens here, but if you have to ask if your car will beat a _ _ _ _ _ then most likely car will not.

openshot is local to me and another forum member, and we have taken this kid under our wing. we've visited him, checked out his car, and been giving him all kinds of info when he asks.
try to remember when most of you were 15 with your first car???? we all had dumb questions.....and anyways, this kid loves rx7's, its not like he's talking **** about our cars. he just needs to be more informed so his shop teacher, and his dad's buddies, and his buddies can stop talking **** about how rx7's get 8 miles per gallon, and how they are really sllllooowwwwwwwwww. these are things people are saying to him and he just wants to learn
the pic is funny, yes. and so are most of openshot's posts, but what's the harm in that? just try and have a little more respect

Ok, openshot I am sorry, didn't mean to bring up the Peter Griffin thing. To honestly answer your question.... You only havea chance if you engine is streetported with a nice carb setup. Even then you hope he sits there and spins the tires like I used to. You can probably own him if you were on a road course. Drag racing well thats a different story. He is probably running low 14's(assuming he knows how to drive). I would say make him feel fast now and race him. You probably will loose....for now. Then put a few mods on your 7 and you should be ready to go. Just make sure you can get traction when dumping the clutch. There is no point in having a **** load of power if you can't get traction. Good luck with your 7 and don't worry just remember, THE 7 CAN'T LOOSE!!!!

lemme just by saying track conditions. oh and I may be 16 but it doesent take a rocket scientist to drive a car.
if im 16 that means ive been trained with video games .
and the track as it goes. you probally dont even have street tires on the track..... so the time would probally be way off.
I hope you ran it with street tires. or its just fake
and corrected times

This car was a known local drag car in the (pro?) class,at Lakeland drag strip events which is 1/8 mile.
The car did run the 1/4th mile at Bradenton, and Moroso.
If I can get my way around a few spanish rotary sites,I will get pics of the car.
Are you a know it all at 16?
Do some reasearch, maybe you can get somewhere on yours.

Here is his mechanics car
13b carb with nitrous,
5 seconds in the 1/8th
It took me like an hour just to find one pic,one site that had his car on there is down.
Heres what he said he ran,12.6@105,pump gas,all motor
The shell is a 85 hard top,it was mine for a little bit of time, and I never got it on the track.

Nick: Don't worry about comments from Rotary 7, they are typical of a person who owns a 79 'Civvic' and a gen 2 bought for $1200 from a junkyard.
As for low 12s in a drag car, that's pedal car territory. I have friends who get 1/4 times in the low 10s from their gen 1 daily driver.

My apologies, in error I believed the public profile you wrote saying your car was a " 79 Honda Civvic".

****?
Do you really think I care what you think?Im far from desperate,I have asked my self why am I arguing with a kid.You are the one doubting me,what a rotary car do.
I have been into rotaries for 7 yrs, probally longer than you have been watching cartoons. If you are into drag racing, dont let your ignorance,Mislead you.
I have seen 12 second 4 door Geo metros with the 1.3 Suzuki swaps.
I dont think you believed my friend ran 12s in his first gen,When Jesus Padillas is doing 9-10s all day long.
Just cause your step dad owns a mechnic shop, doesnt mean you will have instant knowledge. Are you the type of person who thinks yoru car will be faster cause it has a turbo?I mean come one.We are here to learn and better our projects with technical info here.
Not just bash someone when you are to ignorant to do some research and actually learn what a rotary engine is capable of.

If i think correctly? a turbo would make more horsepower am I wrong?
or a blower? or would they slow ya down. anwser that question.
