This took all of 3 seconds to find, not a week.
Turbo Weber Information
You can use any carb, just replace "webber" with your carb of choice.

if your going to turbo a 12a you might as well invest in some "custom parts" i dont know who sells them or where to find them but i think you might find something at lowes or home depot..

I didn't ask the original question. I wouldn't ask something as in depth as "how to make a 12A a turbo, an what do I need for it to work?"
Don't go gettin trigger happy wit dat can of whoop ***!

It's funny how this comes up every month or so.
The short answer is yes, anything can be turbocharged, the long answer is, if you have to ask, you probably don't have the technical or mechanical ability, so you're going to have to do some research (enhance your knowledge) if you want to pull it off.

there are a few other threads like this, but i chose this one because it's a bit more general ... i don't know what intake setup you'll be using to do your turbo.

A vacume secondary carb needs to have the secondaries convertered to work under boost, be converted to mechanical secondaries or be placed in a surround.
Sterling, on this forum, is using a Nikki for a blowthrough application, however highly modified.
Nikki's can be used, very difficult!!!
Holly's are the most popular option and do not require that much work.
Weber, Mikuni (what I use), and Dellorto side drafts are by far the easiest carbs to use in a blowthrough setup. If they have the black plastic floats all you have to do is blow it. Side drafts are also set up so that the carb does not have to be disassembeled to get to the jets. They quite litteraly sit on the top of the carb.
I have made a few posts in contradiction to this statment in the past. The brass floats WILL impload under boost, they are very thin and hollow, the plasctic floats are filled with very dense foam, and are very hard to crush, even by hand, I tried. So for any blowthrough carb you need the solid black plasctic floats.
I hope this helps.

This is the place to look for answers, so don't be scared to ask. Just use the search function as best you can. You MAY find the answers you are looking for, if not, post 'em
