How long did it take you to put it on? do you have low compression rotors?was it worth the 3 grand?what other mods do you have and how much horesepower do you have(just a guess)? any other comments are welcomed. I have a 1985 GSL and i want to put on on.anyones thoughts? I have a 4 port streetported 13B holley carb and intake RB header and exhaust flywheel clutch and pressure plate.

Been there and can spill all the beans including the ones atkins doesn't reveal. Do I like mine, yes, is it worth it, for me, yes, would you get more out of a turbo, yes, does the camden offer better driveability, simplicity and reliability, yes. I've run 4 different pulleys to vary boost, added heat shields to see change, 3 different exhaust setups, 3 different carbs as well, and experience with 2 different timing configurations, and 3 different air cleaners as well. Dyno tested and in the fall a final dyno test. More to be revealed in a month.

i did a little research a while back and was told by atkins rotary (they sell the camden supercharger) that the kit makes around 11-14 psi. also check out this car for an awesome example of a supercharged 1st gen. blown_83
since then he sold the supercharger and went a different route with the car.

I also have a camden 7", but have efi/ecu on my 79. I can also try to answer any questions you might have. The good and the bad. Im like 84stock and also love my blower. I have one of each a supercharged and a turboed car. Both have good and bad about them. Anyways maybe us three can catch each other on aim sometime and talk. Let me know.

Heres a link to my cardomain if you wanna check out. Not updated lately though.

Do you mean where the throttle body meets the manifold? It is actually V'ed but it goes into one opening into the supercharger. Heres a couple pics.

lol... let me think on this one and I will make a list. This will only be my opinion though on what differences I see between both of the cars I have. The turbo'ed 85 gsl se and Supercharged 79.

Everything runs cooler with side draft. If your running a side draft it’s not crushing the fuel, so it runs cooler. If your running a carb or fuel injected carburetor and your injecting it on top, then it runs hotter.

If your using the side draft you can still use the 2 primary injectors in the block, and your secondary ones would be in your manifold.

So can you run a sidedraft carb with this intake or does it hav to be a throttlebody only?

I think it's great that vendors are willing to participate in the forum, and appreciate all the help. I know this...any time I've called Andy and asked him questions about the 5" supercharger I'm trying to install (questions that I'm sure he thought were really stupid), he's always been patient and very helpful.

Any new news 84stock? Has it been on the dyno in the last month? I'd like to get the lowdown on the hot supercharger setup. Blower size, pulley, boost psi, exhaust setup, timing, carb choke sizes, etc............................................... ........
