Cool a/c goners+air pump

hi guy....well im taking out my ac since it has not worked in a looong time. I took a few pics cause i was not sure what i could remove. There is this smaller rad in front of the rad that the little canister is attached to,,,,can i remove this part??

Also, i have noticed that the previous owner has already blocked off where the ACV went...but the air pump is still attached. The air pump is only attached the the air filter and nothing is attached to the bottom of the pump....so i imagine that the air pump is doing nothing there........should i proceed to the nest removal?? Should i plud the hole shown in the pic?

Also...i cannot start my car without putting gas down the carb.........is there a good way to clean my jets??

I have posted pics for you guys

Thanks....great site too

you can remove everything from the a/c system, it is a totally seperate system from your cooling system. just make sure there isn't any refrigerant in the system.

the acv is blocked off, you have a header and as far as the picture goes, your air pump is not being of any use, so ditch it. also, yes all that a/c stuff can go

hey guys.....so the a/c is all out and it looks a lot better.....i was thinking what i should do with the a/c hoses that go into the firewall, but i think i will just cut them as close to the fittings as i can and block them off....good idea?

Also, can i remove the bracket that the ac sat on? If i do remove it, do i just ditch the bolts all together or put them back into the block??

thanks

When I remove the ac lines, I simply unbolt them. That can be tricky as the fittings tend to be tight and it's easy to twist the lines. I have a couple large crescent wrenches that get the job done. You can remove the bracket and the studs from the block if you wish.

I've red a lot about seafoam for cleaning out the fuel system. Worked good for me. Search seafoam and see what you think. Good luck
