Exclamation burning coolant almost fixed

I was burning coolant until recently on my recently re build 80 rx7 12a that I overheated on accident and fried the rings on the intake manifold (it got overheated because the temp sensor wire broke so it read cold witch I thought was weird but by time I got home to check it was to late it was smoking) I took of intake manifold and replaced gasket and little op rings and now it is not sucking the coolant into the engine in anymore but it still has a lot in it, I was wondering if anyone could give some suggestions to clean it out I looked through archive and couldn’t find anything, I took of the thermal reactor and their was a huge puddle up in their and it turned it over and it spewed it everywhere should I just put back on thermal reactor and run it to get out or what? I changed the entire oil when I finally stopped the leaking but not the oil filter couldn’t get the da#$% thing off is stuck like a mother trucker. Please any ideas would be loved!!!

Are you saying that you got coolant in the oil too? How badly did you overheat it? If there is coolant in the oil, I suspect you did more than simply blow the intake o-rings. If you can't get the oil filter off, drive a screw driver through the filter and use that to twist it off. They also make oil filter wrenches, dependinf on which type of filter you have.

now that i think about it i am not sure if it got in with the oil it did have some in it because when i take off oil cap last few times thier has been moisture in thier but it did this before i overheated it, when i figured out the temp sens was broke i realized i didnt pooor coolant into the radiator so i filled it up and it splurged up ( was not one of my brightest day's) and it blew a couple of holes in the radiator. i got my temp sens fixed and turned the car to the on position like 15 after i noticed it smoking, the temp sense was hitting the highest it could go so i think i fried it pretty bad. but my oil was a litle thin the first time i changed after this it was 5-w20 and all i had used previously was 20-w50 so i am not familar with the consisty of 5-w20. i rember when i changed it though it smelled real nasty i mean real nasty and it was like dark brownish blackish, i dont think it got into the oil (or if so not much), but i know it got into the chambers at least.so i eventually ended up ordering a new rad that was ment for 85's i think or a later model i made it work of course, i took off the ac and those hoses but they dont mess with the coolant right? thier is one hole i left unplugged i post a pic of what i am talking about in a few min.

Question

So after you cranked the engine and the water shot out of the exhaust ports; do you still have a puddle of water in the exhaust ports? Coolant level going down in the radiator?

as i said above the coolant level is not going down anymore and it is was only puddled in the thermal reactor not the exaust ports.

^^^^ did not see a post of you mentioning that the coolant level was not going down. I guess you can start it up and let it burn off. Might smoke some. Just check everything once the engine starts and is getting warm. Afterwards get some Seafoam and let it clean out the engine better as Kentetsu and others seem to really like this product. I just bought some this morning at the local auto parts store and I'm going to try it out during my lunch break. Good luck.
