brakes

I just got the results back from my safety test and I failed because all my brakes are shot. Is there any way to get a set of GSL-SE rear disks on my 83???

Yes, just bolt the rearend assembly in, swap e-brake cables, flex hose, and rear wheels. You can even keep your '83 driveshaft!

if you do that, i would go ahead and swap the front breaks in too. that way you get those better breaks, and so that you have the same bolt pattern on the front and rear.

for the front you need the strut assemblies with rotors and calipers. and of course different wheels and tires...
