Brake Questions

A few weeks ago I took my car to get inspected and the guy said I had one of my brakes locked up. He fixed it and replaced the pads and everything. Well, tonight I was driving along and a green light turned yellow, so I decided to stop. Well, I didn't brake full power, but I ended up skidding to a stop. It was raining, btw. This happened earlier today as well. Does anyone know what it might be? I hope it was just me being an idiot and braking too hard. I think I might upgrade the brakes anyway, what should I upgrade first? Thanks guys.

If it's your front disk brakes, the guy probably didn't scotch-brite the slide rods to get whatever it was that caused the binding in the first place. You don't want to scuff the two caliper slide rods, but they need to be smooth and they need thick grease or some lithium lube slathered all over them before you put it all back together so that they never bind the caliper to one side or the other of the rotor...

Hey man, I chatted with you on AIM to help you figure out if it was your front or rear brakes...

If worse comes to worst and you can't figure out what's going on, We maybe can find a free weekend and I'll help you out.
