There is a unit called the brake light checker under the dash to the left of the steering column that has a four wire plug with the wire colors of white, black, green, and green/blue. disconnect the plug, and with the brake pedal depressed check for voltage between the white wire and ground. If you have it, then it probably means you have a defective brake light checker, or wiring has come loose somewhere between there and the tail lights. The green wire is the power coming out of the checker that goes to the tail lights. The only connector it goes through is the X-03 connector, which I believe is under the driver's side storage bin.
