How do I install the anti rattle spring (looks like a bent piece of wire) when replacing brake discs/pad.

I looked in the FSM and it is not clear on how or where it goes. I did not have one on there on any wheel when i got the car and the haynes manual just says observe how it is removed. Not overly helpful.

Can someone let me know how it goes in there?

and i did search but only got various threads on the rear brake drum springs.

Hmmmm...I'm wondering what you searched on? I used "anti rattle spring" in the 1st Gen section and my thread was the third on the results list, titled "Front brakes - anti-rattle spring":
