Hello, i thought id intro myself since im sure i'll be on here alot from now on. Ive been a civic guy till now (93si with a crv 2l stroker) and due to school i was forced to sell it for some cash, i finally saved up some money again and found this little beauty after talking to a friend about how my dad picked up my mom in a 83 GS. i was a avid member of honda-tech (eg93si) and i hope very much so to be the same here. I talked the lady down to $2200, its got 168,xxx on the tach but it been a one owner (55 yr old lady) whos stored it during the winter and kept very good care of it. it pulls strong and shifts well and starts on 0* days, even though its parked for the rest of winter. just thought id see what you guys thought. any suggestions off the bat? also, how are the grannysspeedshop conversions looked upon in here? thanks, comments welcome.

thanks for looking, suggestions welcome.

That car is in amazing shape.

People around here don't go for the V8 conversions.

I don't like piston engines, if that's what you are implying.

Welcome to the forum.

the point of getting an rx7 is because of its unique rotary engine not found in many other cars. they can put out so much power for there size and with great reliability, i would keep it rotary and build it up, but if you want a v8 conversion go for it. i say you do what you want

You'd be surprised what kind of power you can get out of these bad boys. Check out a user by the name of Directfreak. Some of the videos of his car will leave you speechless. And, be wanting to do the same to your car.

Nice car. Good find. I would keep it rotary as that's teh point of the rx7 swap a 20B three rotar in and tell me you still want a V8. Even a TII swap would be much more fun. V8 is played out brother. You can do what ever you want though. Just don't butcher a nice car. I have owned many Hondas as well and no Honda drives like a properly prepared RX-7 it's a fact of life. I have had 8 EF civics, 4 BB4 Preludes, My wife currently has a 2002 Accord EX, She's had a CB chassis accord, EJ1 Civic, and her last car a DA9 H22 swapped car that was stolen twice because it was so nice (Not because it wasn't secured. Flat bedded twice at two different locations) I know there was more just can't thing of them now but RX 7s are very very fun.

No offense but most Honda guys can't drive worth a ****. Not saying you can't but the RX will expose you to better driving techniques than most of the Hondas will. Save the S2000, NSX, and Preludes. That's my $.02

Welcome.

Keep it rotary or else :...just joking

There you go. No need for a V8 after all.
