Question Bogging down a 35 C. Help!

Hi All,

I have weird problem in that my car starts to choke when it hits about 35 C. Has anyone experienced this before? I have gone over timing and air/fuel mixture and vacuum leaks and can't seem to locate the problem.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks

How's the water temp? Could the cooling system have anything to do with it? What kind of intake system do you have (I've seen problems similar to this in other old carb'd cars)?

The water temp is fine. It is steadily under 40 C. It takes about 20 Minutes of highway driving until it happens. I have a modded RB intake that gets rid of emissions!

Nope, the only thing that seems to help is if you pull off the side of the road for a couple of minutes and let it idle then it takes off fine again until you hit about 90 km and it starts to act up. I though it was getting too much fuel but when I ran tests it didn't seem to make any difference whether I changed the air fuel mixture at all.

It's a weird one.

Well, it turns out that this whole problem was caused by bad fuel and the 35C mark was just a coincidence. I drained the tank last night and filled it with good fuel and now she is purring along perfectly fine.

Thanks for the suggestions.
