^^ is there anything else I could possibly check before I do that? I probably is in a need of a rebuild but I just don't want to dive head first in right away. Thanks for any info and thanks again for the response rotordog.

Looks like an accel pump diaphragm leak, all right.
Fuel leaks are a priority 1 item to repair. Only thing of higher urgency is a brake failure. There's a carbeque in your future if you don't deal with this.
Carb rebuilds are not all that hard; just get the manual, read through it first, and keep all the little bits organized. Other than that it's just a bunch of little parts to clean, really.

Ah, if that's the case I guess I should pick up a carb rebuild kit. Any recommendations on brands etc? And also a recommended cleaning solution/gel/spray or whatever? Sorry never worked on a carb before thanks.

DD is right, I rebuilt mine for the first time last year and it wasn't that hard at all. Get the GP Sorenson kit from autozone.
Get a large clean workbench and cover it with white paper. Get a digital camera and take pictures of every angle. As you remove parts, keep them organized on the workbench and label them. Take more pictures as pieces are removed. Once it is all torn down, clean the re-usable parts and then replace the other parts with the kit.
Use the information in the 1st Gen FAQ section under carb rebuild to help guide you. It will only take a few hours to rebuild it.

I am going first thing in the morning to check out the GP Sorenson kit @ autozone. Read that I should find non-paper crush/washers etc? I spent all day fixing my sisters camry, radiator cracked and non of her fluids changed for 66k miles *face palm* except the occasional oil every 6 months even though she commutes 110 miles daily. Can't wait to work on the seven XD
