blowthrough project s4 wategate porting
I did not want to post till I got far enough because I'm sick of the turbo 12a questions myself (i've read enough of em)... but I'm stuck and I need to ask 1 question.
Is porting the s4 wastegate the size on aron cake really necesary... can I just port to the outer limit of the stock wastegate cover?

Yes... the 2nd gen forum helped, and so this thread isn't open ended the simple answer is NO
here's why
https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/serious-s4-wastegate-porting%85-343788/
oh and btw i was also pleasantly suprised to read how much boost over stock the s4 will make with my exhaust and the port matching i'm doing to the turbo and w/o the flapper on the mani side.... but thats off topic.... next post hopefully will be after 12at completed....

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
what ive done on the 12a t conversions with the 13b s4 turbo is port the W/G hole slightly bigger than the flap door, so, it fits into the door.. you will still spool up quickly and only have 3-4 psi of boost creep, wich is acceptable

Thanks Robert...
I was already in the garage going at it with my dremel before I read this....
One thing I learned is that I would rather port exhaust housings or plates... than this wastegate with a dremel!!!!!
My hands still vibrating as I type... it fits nice and flat... Now the question is whether I should by a welder or not or just bring it to a shop to get welded... need to have the flapper hole welded too. I'm going to need the welder for the IC tubing anyway so I might as well start shopping around...
OOOPS How did that NOS wet kit get there with 2 fogger nozzles and.... Actually it's on ebay now and is my budget generator for my I/C and tubing.... Bid starts at 150$
