ok so i bought a 2nd gen two months ago that had a bad oil seal( smoked alot) so i pulled the engine out and installed a junkyard engine. sold the car and the old engine sat in the garage. then i was putting a mock engine together and i needed the front pulley Assembly. so i would have to take off that dreaded front bolt that is a pain in the *** to take off. so i search the house for my impact gun just to find out that i let some one barrow it. so i put the task off tell the next day. then i got fed up and was going to put a plastic peace in the engine and try a braker bar to take off the bolt then. i gaterd a pile of sockets and tryed a few anthen!!!!!!! the bolt came off with my hand!!!!!! Yes the bolt was finger tight i drove the car 100 miles with the bolt finger tight.

 

That's disturbing.

damn man, I found something similar when I did my clutch last week, previous shop that worked on the car only tightened the nut on the flywheel to maybe 90ft/lb.

 

Never look a gift horse in the nuts.
