Big Brake Kit?
Can anyone help me find an Aftermarket Big brake kit for the First gen?
I dont know if im looking in the wrong places or whether they just don’t make them specifically for the Fist gen? anyone know of any others that are suitable?
Ive looked at doing a TII brake conversion (full rotor and caliper) but that just means im going to five bolt stud pattern anyway doesn’t it? there has to be something out there that’s just as good if not better?
Im looking at fitting 18inch low profile rims with a spacer (if required) to clear a larger caliper but i just cant seem to find a large aftermarket brake kit?
Are there issues that im not aware of with regards to the lack of kits available? or is it just a case that there isnt a big enough market?
Cheers.

Do you have a widebody kit or anything? IIRC the guys running rims that big were on very low pros which were stretched because of clearence issues.
Market isnt overly big, but the T2 Big brake conversion kit (respeed) is more than enough brakes....

Yeah ive checked the TII conversion and i agree it would stop the car no problems.
Im trying to get a different look as the car will be shown, ive read on here that some people have cut the stock FB rotor at the hub to accept a larger willwood rotor? (something different).

+2 on respeed kit
you will need the second gen hubs (either 4 lug or 5 lug) second gen "hard suspension calipers (4 piston) with same rotors (they are 5 lug but you can drill them to 4 lug)
you will need the respeed kit
brake lines for those calipers
seals and new bearings for the hubs you are using
also you need to have a 1984 or 1985 large bearing spindles.
when you get that you just bolt it all together. i got the calipers for 60 each from napa, rotors are about 20 each from napa and then the respeed kit 174 or so and seals 6 each inner bearings 40 each and outer bearings 19 each all from napa.. so I got
so I got 466 into some good *** brakes on the front of my FB a steal in anyone eyes..
hope that helps..
