best way to unseize an engine?
hey guys.. I was just given an old late 70's Honda XR 200 dirt bike.. and I need to know the best way to unseize it. I will have the head off, and the engine out of the bike, so I was thinking of using some penetrating oil like WD-40 and maybe some ATF. Any other better suggestions?
oh an btw.. this is the engine that I am going to be building my mini chopper from.

depends on how well siezed it is. If it's gone, it's gone. Block very well could be warped too.
I'd personally try PB B'laster penetrating lubricant. Pep Boys, Kragen, Autozone carry it.
Sounds like a neat project though.

never worked on 2-stroke engines...
But before I found the forum, I'd heard the ATF thing from a piston-engine guy, so it's gotta work on boingers somehow... but don't take my word for it, that's just plain speculation on my part!!
