Best Sounding Exhaust System?

Hi Everyone, What do you guys think would be the best sounding exhaust system? I hate "tinny" sounding pipes.I am looking for a deep throaty sound like a race car. Thanks

Racing beat sounds really good. I got the headers and the muffler, and all I have are two straight pipes running in between the two

No pre-silencers? How did you hook up the st.pipes in between?

If you hate tinny sounding pipes i think you chose the wrong car to mess with.

Same here man, i hate metallic sounds coming from exhaust. Bzzzzzzzz

I've never heard a v8 sound like a bee.

the 12a is definitely a high-pitched motor. not much is going to change that. racing beat's system does sound nice.

I bought the muffler and my friend game me the RB header with the pipes. All he did was when he had header on his car, he drove it to a muffler shop and had them make pipes to connect the header to the muffler. Cheaper to do it that way.

I am happy with the tone and performance of my Monza high-flow muffler (coupled to high-flow cats). Sounds good and looks good - with twin chrome exhaust tips similar to the OEM muffler.

RB exhaust has a different tone as the pipes are small. Open the primaflow muffler and you will see what Im talking about.

in a week I'm getting a single inlet dual outlet muffler put on my car so I'll let yall know how it sounds. I'm putting a presilencer on it was well with my header. So I'm hoping it's not too.....Ricey. However I put an exhaust on my honda and it sounds wonderful. Only very ricey at extremely high RPMs.

I think I will be happy with my 3" system. I have a 3" pipe from a cherry bomb presilencer (soon to be a magnaflow style with stainless packing), to a single in dual out magnaflow muffler, the biggest you can get. Yes it all fits nicely. I don't yet know how it sounds since i haven't run the car with the exhaust on it. Mabey in a week or two I will be able to finally start it after 6 long months.

Huge single exhausts on N/A rotaries tend to sound like a blimp-sized bagpipe dying a slow painful death. Very "fart"y. No tone at all, just a deep resonant blaaaaaaaaaaaa.........

Yech.

Can we get any sound clips of the deeper toned exhaust setups? BTW I know what you all mean by "tinny" sound. I can't believe someone else also refers to it by this. Basicly if it sounds tinny, it sounds like a tin can is repetetively beated by a nail every time you get on the throttle.

bthraaathraaaaa.........thraaaaa...thrat..thrat..t hra...

You get the idea. It doesn't sound very mean. Compared to a throaty v8, it sounds like a crying baby.

RB Streetport system.

Other than that... the best sounding one I've heard was a PP 13B running open header at 12K

I have a RB street header > Presilencer ? 2 1/2" pipe going to a V-force muffler. it has a lifetime warantee, and is higher pitched unlike a V8.. but i dont want to sound like one anyway. The V-force is VERY inexpensive and makes it sound like a jet boat more of a "iiiiiiiiinnnnnnngggg iiinnnnnggg" thing... i'd give ya a clip but i dont have my intake or carb on as of now.

I like how the dual mufflers from hks and apexi and other look. You know how they look like two small n1 styles next to each other. I figured since I have two pipes going all the way back I'm gonna putting a small cheap muffler on each just to see how it sounds, but for know I like the way my racing beat sounds.
