direct freak has a holley on his gsl-re setup and it's running pretty well for him. oh and i havent dynoed mine yet. i ran in to a major hault in my progress with my significant other. everything was thrown on hold, but i hope to have it all tied up now and get this thing on a dyno next time my friends shop brings him out. it was supposed to be tonight but that didnt happen. all ihave left to do is get a downpipe somehow super cheap because i'm broke now thanks to the woman situation and i have welder access and all the pipe i already need and i'm ready to drive. so ******* close and yet sooo DAMN FAR AWAY. i rode in a modified evo tonight, damn i was getting sad. i want to beat it anyone got a stock downpipe from an s4 turbo they feel like giving away ?

Whoa, calm down guys. Where do I start? Mel, nice cutting on the airhorn but I'll tell you its a waste of time. I BTDT, didnt get the t shirt, but I got pics and data. and the flowbench reveals no gains there (thats the funny thing about airflow, it doesnt always do what you think, thats why most backyard porting jobs fail).
Yes Modding the Nikki is older than dirt, however the most recent work in this area thats been done methodically and scientifically is by Sterling and myself, and to toot our own horn a little I dont think anyone comes close to us. We have learned much and I must give Sterling most of the credit. I tossed in an idea here and there and did all the bench testing and brainstormed with him, but he has really run with this project and Im impressed with its development. It defenately deserves to be called the Sterlingcarb.

If it hasn't, or worse, it's a pic older than 6 months, then it's your bubble that just got popped, hot dawg...I specifically said most recent development...

Chill homie. its just a friendly discussion. no dyno but thats the same carb that I used on my 13-B street ported motor back in the days against V8's. The time when I wasnt able to afford an IDA.
I've installed it a few months ago on my new motor but its not sufficient to support a big 13-B street port. I also tried a holley 600 (including a 650) and mikuni but not happy with the result. So I went back to IDA.
Carl,
thats the 13-B cosmo reversed manifold. I got something for ya to bring home @ SS7. Something you can play with....ANd no, its not a *****.

Cool, yea we'll meet up at SS7. Sterling will be there too. we can shoot the **** for a while. Maybe we should all meet up in one area? I hated the fact that I didnt have enough time to spend chatting with everyone. But I had to wander around and see everything.
Yea I hear you on the carb. I didnt some silly **** when I was younger too. It looks good, and I was really disappointed to see no gains with that smooth blending job.

From: Trying to convince some clown not to put a Holley 600 on his 12a.
That's actually the one that I sent to Metallic Rock for his 13B hybrid. He was having a blast with it till someone stole his car.
It's the Sterling Carb model, with the linkages and body unplated. (We can plate it for a fee.)
The linkage system has been even further simplified on more recent Sterling Carbs.
The carb looks very unassuming with the airhorn on. There's not alot we can do to snaz that up. However, I'm working on a plumbing simplification that will eliminate the fuel pipes, banjos and return line.
Rotary Ryan will get the first one.
