Eibach pro kit is better than RB. Rb springs are too soft they're only like 150/120 as opposes to eibach's 171/140. I like the way my car rides way better with the eibach springs. You're going to get a lot of people telling you RB is better just parroting knowlege. Not many have had both or even bin in a car with the other. Someone one time ago told them that RB was the best and they've been parroting that knowlege since... And the eibach kit can be had cheaper than RB springs on e-bay new all the time. i got mine form NOPI.

yea, performance = eibach or isc racing; as they have all sorts of different spring rates. i think you can just tell them what you're looking for.

the eibachs are progressive springs right? so then doesnt it give differnet feelings when turning? what i mean is, is it predictable on how it reacts? im just asking cuz im looking towards the rb springs and wondering if the eibachs were predictable instead of progressive.

just to clarify, there are two different types of eibachs mentioned in this thread. The eibach Pro-kit is progressive, and has the spring rate mentioned above, i'm not sure how it does compare to racing beat, but I've done some autox on my car (with the prokit), as well as my previous eibach prokit equiped car, and both have been extremly fun to drive and provide a reasonable ride.
The second type is the more standard eibach coil springs, you'll need a coilover setup to use these. I believe rx7 uses 2.5" dia springs and you can get them in almost any spring rate you want. This setup tends to be more money but it's more tuneable (ride height, springrate, balance the car) they are also smaller in diamater and you can actually run more camber if you get camber plates (which is the situation i'm in right now.
Peter (woodonastick), i know you were looking at camber plates before, i'd avoid both prokit or rb if you want any camber whatso ever... but if you decide to use prokit, i might be selling mine soon (with less that 4000 miles on them) because I'm trying to find a set of coilovers...

does anyone have a pic of the eibach spring? if the eibachs have a progressive style spring, that would lead to a softer coil right? i was thinking of cutting the softer coil to get rid of the progressive rate, and lower the car a bit more. is that possible? or will i just screw up the whole spring rate?
(sorry for thread jacking)

well, i'm working on my brakes today or tomorrow, so if i have a chance, i'll try to snap some pics, I'd think if there are "dead" coils, you can safely cut it off, but you might as well, just get some springs that lower more then the eibachs...

Not sure if this is by design, or from the springs starting to sag from age.

On stock tires, the car didn't even lean in the corners, it does now with the new tires and wheels, but very, very little, but then I also have the ST front and rear sway bars,.

oh yeah, sorry bout the link, but if you go through eibach's site and look up the prokit, this is what it said
Pro-Kit
High Performance Handling
Lower Center of Gravity–Lowers vehicle 1.0"-1.5"
Progressive Spring Design
Excellent Ride Quality
Million Mile Warranty
Part of the Eibach Pro-System
The Eibach Pro-Kit is the perfect answer for most frequently-driven street cars. It’s our legendary spring system that dramatically improves both a vehicle’s performance and appearance.
Pro-Kit lowers your car’s center of gravity, reducing squat during acceleration, body roll in corners and excessive nose-dive under braking. When combined with Plus-1 or Plus-2 wheels and tires, the Eibach Pro-Kit is the finishing touch to a winning recipe for performance. Pro-Kit also reduces excessive
fender-well clearance, making your car look just as hot as it performs.
Every Eibach Pro-Kit is designed and tested by our suspension engineers and performance driving professionals, to deliver aggressive good looks and high performance handling, without ever compromising safety or ride quality. By using our proprietary, progressive spring design, Pro-Kit provides the ultimate balance to take your passion for driving
to a whole new level.
and also, from your pictures, the far left and far right springs look progressive to me, the coil intervals are different. The middle two doesn't however, but i think those are the rear springs...
