Battery

when i have the radio and the lights or the lights and the defogger on at night my battery charge on the dash ussually dips down below half way and bobbles up and down a bit...is this normal? and would it be able to support a stereo systems (speakers,face,subs,amp etc) or would i need to buyt somthing to recycle the energy?

Not sure but mines doesn'rt do that even with all the stuff one it dips down about half way between the 12v mark and the line to the right of it. If you buy some capasitors(the little battarythings that keep the charge to you amp equal at all times) there's bound to be an improvement.

Have you tried charging your battery or getting a new one? It shouldn't be doing that. But yeah. If your system draws alot of power then you'll need a capacitor. 1.0 farad should be enough. Try to get a deep cycle battery if you can. They're good for systems.

The Alt on our cars is very sub standard. like 55amps, just enough to run the car. Get a second gen alt or something from another car. There are several threads about the change.

Also your battery could be going bad. Some of the parts stores will test it for free.
