BAC PROBLEM? high steady idle... 85SE
Ok guys so I'm having a bit of a problem with my 85 GSL-SE. About a week ago or so I began to notice that my car was probably running a little rich and i looked under the hood and saw my o2 connection was fried because the wires got loose and were dangling so low that they melted against the manifold and cataylic converter.
so i cut the connector where the wires connected (it was fried) and all the way up to where the wires werent fried. Got a welder and wrapped them up and welded them together then wrapped them with tape and used a nylon tie to tie them far above the manifold where they wouldnt swing around.
After doing this i disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes then start the car up and it idles really rough for a couple of minutes from 300-1500 (it was cold) then idled steadily at 1500. BEFORE I cut the o2 wires the car was idling fine at around 800 or very close to 800 (no bouncing).
I checked the FAQ section and some of the links suggested that it can be my air adjustment screw. I tried that and lowest it dropped was 1100 and the screw was getting really tight and really wouldnt turn anymore... so i dont think it can be that. Then the tips guide suggested that it could be my BAC valve or TPS. The problem I'm having now is finding the BAC on my gslse because I haven't been able to find a manual for rx7s at local autozones, kragens, pep boys... ill order one tonight but i probably wont have it until Tuesday.
Does anyone know if the o2 wires had anything to do with my idle issue? and im not a mechanic but i can take my car to my mechanics class and use a decent amount of tools to work on the car, hopefully it isnt too difficult. Does anyone have a Pic of the BAC location? that would help me out so much, any suggestions and tips would also be really really appreciated.

The BAC valve is on the left side of the motor attached to the plenum. I don't remember if there was a ECU ground wire that was near the O'2 wire or not. That would have an affect on the system but the O'2 being disconnected should have nothing to do with idle at all.
