Axle Interchangeability

I put GSL-SE axles in my 1984 GSL, and they just swapped in directly. There is definitely no difference in length. I put the 2nd gen hubs and brakes on mine, and I got a set of GSL-SE rear axles and had them redrilled for the 5 bolt pattern. The GSL-SE is 4 holes on 4 1/2 inch circle, the 2nd Gen is 5 holes on 4 1/2 inch, so I was able to use one existing hole and drill 4 new holes. My brake conversion is detailed on this page:

The seals are cheap. Just buy two new ones instead of trying to cheap out.
