Any pictures?

Is the interior clean: no tears, no rips, no important sun damage? What color/kind of seats: velour, cloth, leather?

Is the drive train OK? No engine noises, good power, no known problems, no screaming gears in transmission, no howls from rearend?

Is exterior straight? No serious dents? No wrinkles in sheet metal from a crash? Original paint?

Is the chassis sound? No winter salt damage, no rust? No misalignments?

Ahh..I called and got the scoop. He's not moving to Florida anymore, but to Dallas in a week. So he says he wants to hold off selling it for a week until he can decide if he really does want to sell it.

Details:

* it is an 83 GS
* interior is good save some minor wear on the driver's side seat
* dash is NOT cracked
* the car does have on little spot of *surface* rust on the bottom side of the door and come slight hail damage
* Damn, I forgot to ask what color
* the 12A runs strong (should for only 48,000miles)

I doubt he will get $2k obo, but he said it would DEFinately be negotiable. I told him KBB listed an 84 (they only go down to 84) RX-7 in excellent condition would only go for $1500 to give him an idea of what a realistic price is (hoping to get him to come way down too)

He said he will let me know next week if he wants to sell it and for how much and that if he does he will get me pictures to post. I guess stay tuned.

 

what I was going to suggest is that he take the rx7 to florida and sell it there. He should be able to get a little bit more money there.
