Apex Seals

I just blew one of my apex seals and i was wondering what anyone would reccomend i do about this. Should i just buy a new motor or should i fix the one i have?

My deciding factor has always been determined by my budget. Fortunately for me I've been able to purchase used working engines for cheap. How big is your budget?

For $1000 I think the only option you really have is to get a basic rebuild kit(all soft gaskets/seals + apex seals) and do it yourself. You might need to replace the rotor housing that the apex broke in also.

A full rebuild kit, maybe a used rotor and rotor housing. And thats IF you dont have 2 bad rotor housings, the chrome likes to flake off them even if a apex and rotor hasnt drove itself in them...Thats if you do the labor yourself, a 1000 might get you on the road again
