Anyone put a big brake conversion on?

old school 15" isn't bad either!
But I doubt there's much space within the 13" rims.
My car has the FD setup at the front, and that means 15" is the smallest rim size (very thight fit, but just right). And FD brakes, though very good quality, aren't that huge.
I do agree with you that old school cars are really cool, that's why I try to maintain that look a bit. But 13" just wouldn't look the part under a widebody...

Anyway, seriously the brake kit has been in the works for quite some time now and only needs some TLC but when the R&P came into play the whole thing got pushed aside...way aside. CP will now be putting all 1st gen effort in finishing the setup so I have been told and this is what I will be doing next. No worries.
Hey, besides why is everyone so pissed? the Rack kit is finished ready 4sale and as soon as the website is up they can be ordered from CP as per the new facility which is quite something if I do say so myself . Anyway bare with me here...Its not like there is a huge market for this 1st gen stuff, I just love the car and want to improve on it in MAJOR ways and share these findings with all of you...and hopefully not lose money in the process.
Thanx guys

Yeah, I'm not mad or pissed at all...some things are just too easy to poke and have fun with and I can't help myself...too much time around other triple A alpha males when I loaded pkg cars at UPS, I guess. To me, your long lead teaser announcements are the very equivalent of me telling a friend, "Yeah, we'll have that sub-box calculated, cut and installed in that Camaro by the weekend, easy!" And then, it's one thing after another as the project drags out over three weekends. But, just like you say, the end result leaves everyone happy, so it is worth it if you can forgive the enthusiasm laying out optimistic timetables...
And, to tell the truth, the big brake kit IS something I would be interested in.

lol....damn, you are a hardcore salesman on top of everything else...nopester...I only gots so many coins in my pocket and, between CBird and Furious Rex, I have to choose carefully where to budget monies. As it is, my wife wants to kill me for all the parts I've got so far that haven't even been installed yet as I pursue getting the garage finally finished. A 13" steering wheel and tightening the clearances works for steering mods regarding 90% street use. Big brakes are a different beast altogether. The 15" Weds are begging to be filled and I do work the brakes hard enough playing on the street to get fade w/o cross-drilleds, so bigger rotors would be nice...

Ya but Jimmy your car would handle much better with either 14's or 15's on it. 17's start to throw off too much stuff.

Any word on this? It's going to determine if
I swap to the 8.8 rear in the next couple of weeks or not. That way I can go 5 lug now..
