Every pic I've seen on figuring out whether it's a Torsen or not says if you can see straight through, it's a torsen. If you see a bar, it's not...

I see neither... I see a ring in there... Look... (1999 Miata, 5 speed, No ABS.)

EDIT:Removed pics, not 56k Friendly. Click link and look at pics.

versus the pics at the bottom of this page:

Now I'm wondering if the scrapper ripped me off. Well, at least I have 4.30:1 gears... I scratched a mark in the driveshaft flange and on the ring gear... 4 and about a third on the driveshaft makes one on the ring.

I can see inside, but there's no big window like this one:

http://members.aol.com/solomiata/Torsen-T1.jpg

I see 4 pairs of gears as I rotate the ring gear. In each pair, one points left, one points right (Parallel to the axles.) towards the center, there's one or two more worm like gears.... Can't tell really as it's hard to see that far in.

It doesn't look like what SoloMiata shows to be a Torsen, but then again, I don't see a + shaped assembly for spider gears either.
