You could probably fit a gameboy, or whatever they call those little hand-held thingees in the center armrest console compartment.
Do people really spend that much time just sitting in their car somewhere away from home? Do you expect that you'll be breaking down a lot and waiting for a tow truck? I hate to threadcrap, but I've always been really curious about why in the devil anyone would actually want to do that. If you're in your car, drive it! Do they really make a video game that's more exciting than jamming your foot into the carb (or throttle body, as the case might be) and working through the gears?
That having been said... on an "On Topic" note: I suppose you could pull out one of the bins and remove the carpet on the inside and bolt the game unit to the inside there. You could put your inverter in the other bin-hole and run the power between the two. You could bolt the bin doors back up to the holes to concel everything niceley. I'd guess that since you don't have an airbag to worry about, you could mount some sort of LCD panel to the passenger side dash.
You could also get rid of the spare tire and mount the gear back there. Since you'll have video games to keep you busy, you won't mind waiting from AAA to come and tow you to a tire place...
Seriously, though.. somebody explain to me why this could possibly ever be a good idea in anything but a kiddie-hauler in a road-trip configuration...

Well, here's the issue. I am a nerd, and just want to do it for the nerd value, not necessarily to sit out in my car to play video games. (If I wanted to do that, i'd play it on my big screen tv in surround sound on one of my 5 consoles, or my computer). I just wanted it for the "holy crap" value when I show off my car. And the reason I wanted to do it through mountain dew's promotion is to keep with the theme my car seems to be having so far:
free.
My in dash cd player, various new parts, paint, wood for making a subwoofer box, and oh yeah, the CAR was all free. I love showing people my car, asking them to guess how much I paid, they say anywhere from $1,000 up to $5,000 and the looks on their faces is just sweet when i till them what i paid.
heh, car didn't have a spare tire. Well, i guess technically it did... but there was some wetness in the spare tire well (i've fixed that, it was just from a faulty drain line) so the spare tire was rotted out.
I was thinking about putting it in there, then mounting a small screen on the back of my sub box.
pimp my ride...? yeah, kinda, but i think it will be fun
free.

If I saw your car I would give you many more "holy crap" points if you had forced induction, so would the majority of the people on this forum. You will get even more "holy crap" points for killing camaros, mustangs, and many other heavy cars at the drag strip.

For me, driving the rx7 is far more fun than playing a game. After all, don't games only try to simulate real life? Why pretend when you can drive the real thing?
That said, I've seen some pretty elaborate video and video game setups in vehicles at the last street rod and custom vehicle show I was at. seems like the unit could fit in the storage bin easily, along with an inverter. You'd need an extension cable wired along the floor to get the controllers around to the front, as well as the display. Stock video wiring could probably go up along the tranny tunnel, and then you could put a LCD in that 2.5 DIN hole to watch the whole thing with.
