Any way to fix rear axle (bent)?

It was a decent day out so I started lookin at my transmission and Im goin to have to buy another Clutch kit, the slave cylinder for the clutch, and I dont really know bout the actually transmission yet...I doubt theres something wrong with it.... but I noticed something really weird.....on my passanger side the rear axle it bend slightly up.....liek bout 5-6 degrees.....what the hell? I dont know what happened to it..... I didnt look at the Alxe when I got it bcz I was too happy that I got a Rx-7.... damnit...

Well, my question is that "is there a way to straighten out the axle without replacing it." Somehow I dont think so but its worth askin bcz I cant find any GSL-SE's (or any 7 for that matter....the only one is like 35 miles away from me and it has to chassis....) around here in ANY junk yards..... and I really dont want to swap my rear end for the other Rx-7 I own bcz it has rear drum brakes....and I like my disc...and the lil larger tires....lol

Thanks

Chris

if the axel is bent then the tire WILL woble, very unsafe to drive.

i lost control in my 7 and slide side ways bashing into a curb. i bent the axel. i just swaped out the gsl for an SE complete rear. then i did the front while i was at it.

Carl.

Is the axle bent? Or is the housing bent? The housing could be straightened, but its alot of work. If the axle itself is bent, replace it.

The standard axle housings are quite weak, as I found out when travelling over an intersection island at 50mph once. Bent the rear housing so bad you couldn't look through it end to end. I just replaced it with another one from a wrecker (dime a dozen here) but if they're rare where you are, maybe this would be a good time to swap the whole thing for something stronger?
