Any FB running s4 ecu and harness out there?
Any FB running s4 ecu and harness out there? If so post here please. I have s4 intakes and TB on my motor right now but want to add the extra injectors, the s4 harness, s4 AFM and the s4 ecu if it is a bit easy. If not I will just get a injector controller and be done with it.

I did it with a S4 TII engine, its 99% the same as the N/A engines and only a few wires different than a S5 setup.
The big right side harness is all plug and play between the engine and S4 ECU.It handles nearly all the engine control systems and the sensors that are external from the engine like AFM,MAP,injector resistor(86-87.0) ,ect.....
The left side harness must be made from scratch, but dont worry its not too hard.About 15 wires are needed to operate the CAS,coils, fuel pump and ECU power ON/OFF.Running an FC underhood fuse box and main relay will greatly simplify this setup and you WILL NOT have to do any cutting or splicing of the FB wiring harness'.You will also have a ready to run,pre programmed ECU that requires no tuning and will also pass smog testing if you retain all the smog control gear.
Get an FSM.Its the key to deciphering the ECU wiring and pin positions.Once you know what wires control what components, you can de-pin and disregard all the extra wires on that final gang plug.Only the neccesary wires will remain to power the aforementioned systems on the left side harness. Its not that hard so long as you know what your looking at.....

Thanks steve once again.
I am trying to figure out the easiest way to add the s4 ecu and harness to my gslse to run the extra two injectors. My gslse has a rebuilt s4 motor in it already, with the s4 uim, lim, and tb. I am running 700cc injectors and well at an idle it is a bit rich (no emissions what so ever.... well the sticker under the hood). I figured if I can run the s4 ecu to add the extra injectors I could then run the stock s4 injectors in the primaries to help at an idle and low speeds, then run my 700's in the sec. to have the extra power. My 700's were the stock gsl-se injectors that have been rebuild thru rc eng. and now flow 703 and 704.
I figured this would also help me tackle the 79sa/gsl/TII setup I am trying to build.
The sa body, GSL rear/front suspension and rear end, and the s5 TII motor, ECU, Harness, afm, boost sensor, and soon a custom made gslse front cover with s5 metering.

If you want to do this, you will have to convert the ignition to use the 2nd gen leading and trailing coils with the CAS instead of the distributor. I say this because I believe the injector firing is timed off the CAS, but I'm not totally sure. I never really looked into the FI systems on these cars because, IMO, its a piece of ****. The system was behind its time even when it was first introduced. Its unreliable and overall just not designed too well.

460CC primaries is fine, but adding 700CC secondaries will be way too much fuel for an N/A.Youll just flood it out on the topend and kill power.
I ran 550CC and 680CC on my old S4 TII setup and it ran great up to 14psi.Your injector setup will be fine for a turbo engine, but its way too much for the time being.....or are you running turbo already?(you didnt specify S4 N/A or S4TII)
I wouldnt run any bigger than 460CC(stock N/A) primary and 550CC(stock TII) secondary on an N/A engine....

Here this might help: ECU Mapping Files
I need to post another thread for this cause it's even hard for me to find in my own thread.
Basically this has plug pinouts and wiring diagrams to do what Steve said above. Your's should be very similar depending on what components you want to use. Some of the wires can easily be connected by adapting into the FB X-07 harness. Take a few minutes to look over the diagrams and you'll see what I mean.
