Another stupid hypothetical

Okay. I did a little searching in the archives and on the web. And the closest I came to finding what I wanted to know, was from this website by this kid who built a turbocharged Yugo.

I was trying to get a rough estimate as to were to begin jetting a carb for a turbo set-up? And wasn't sure if it was best to just try and match it with the CFM the carb can flow? Then add a bit for the boost? And then some for a street port ect?

I wasn't sure if there was a way to do this systematically, a step-by-step way to try and calculate what'll need? I try to make these things as general as possible, as to give other people an idea were to start with their projects. But what I plan to run is a street ported 12a w/ approx. 590 cfm carb and 8-ish pounds of intercooled boost.

I'd start really really rich and tune down with a wideband.

That was kinda a given. I'm just brain dead as far as how conservative/extreme these numbers are. A kit is offered that contians all of the following plus F7 emulsion tubes. Was wondering if these were reasonable as far as my set-up goes?

mains: (120, 130, 135, 145 ) air jets: (160, 170, 180, 185)

I figure dyno is the only way to go. And once I get within decent range I'll take it to get fine tuned. But I still think I'm going to invest in a wideband and try to tune it a little myself. If I'm going to dump all this money into my car I might as well learn something.

What is your set-up?

12a, soon-to-be-streetported. J-spec 12a turbo w/ exhaust manifold. Weber IDF and Rotary Engineering intake. Plenum with built-in air-to-water intercooler. Rest of exhaust is still up in the air.
