Another One Back From The Dead
Most of you guys here know me as one of the turbo FB guys. Little did you all know that I have had a dead SA sitting beside my garage for about 2 years. The guy I bought my FB from had this SA sitting in a field just withering away. After I had the FB for about a year or so, tragedy stuck. A deer ran out in front of me, which cost me the hood, left fender, left headlight assembly, and header panel. Fortunantly, I knew where another RX7 was sitting I could get parts from. I went back to the previous owner of my FB to see if the SA was still there. Yep. Still sitting there. I told him about my accident with the deer, and asked about getting parts from the SA. He said "take what you want". "The damn engine blew up in that thing years ago" Sure enough, the last registration on the SA was '97. So I looked the old girl over amazed at how solid the body was. Hardly any rust to speak of. So I took the parts off I could use, and thanked him and left. How would fate have it he would want me to have the whole car a year later. After being sick of seeing her just sitting beside my garage with a blown engine, and parts missing, I finally had enough. Found a stockport 12A with about 80k on it. Runs excellent. Put my RB intake and header on it (that I wasn't using since I turbo'ed the FB). Picked up the misc. body parts from a FB I found at Pull-A-Part (paid near nothing). Put my spare second gen coil on. Used my spare GSL diff in the rear end. Used my old WEDS 14" wheels. Throwed my old IMSA side skirts in the mix. Gutted the interior. And voila! Track car! I suppose ya'll want some pics. Sorry for the long post. Just excited to bring another first gen back to life. I would also like to thank robs_seven (Robbie), and JEEZUS (Stu) for their assistance with this one. Here's the three amigos. My 83 turbo FB. My BMW 3 series. And my newest addition, the 80 SA track car! Woohoo!

Sweet. Body color and wheels are a great combo. It's always a good and honorable thing to being an SA back life. Good luck with it and watch those Bambis. I've hit 3 in 4 decades of driving, not fun. Last one was at 80 mph in a 74 1 ton box van. That impact will rattle your teeth.

Thanks alot guys. I have a few more thing to take care of before I can really tear up the tracks. Like the hole where my spare tire well used to be
. I used a FB gas tank which will give me more fuel capacity. Hopefully taking care of that this weekend.
