Another hood ready!

Howdy all!(thats Texan)hehehe I am originally from Illinois.

I have another hood ready...stock, fiberglass $225 plus shipping, I will crate it at no extra cost. If you are going to 7stock I might be able to toss it into RX7.coms truck and get free shipping!! I am working on a stock carbon hood for 7stock....anyone interested....free shipping to 7stock and cost of hood $275!!! I will have to let you know for sure if I get the cf hood done in time.

here is a pic. of the fiber glass hoods(old thread)https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=107925

Oh yah, I have a hood I am working on putting a(sorry Manntis on wording) "vent" in. Looks like this is what people want. This is not the turbo2 look, this is the backwards vent style. I am also working on the valance with the 4 ducts in it.

Cool, I'm sure you'll sell more vented ones than non. Good to see that it weighs a lot less than the stock 32 lbs.

Not to be a critic or anything, but how rigid is that hood, looks pretty thin. And if you could get one that used the stock latch Id be really happy.

That's what's slowing down my CF vented hood development - trying to anchor the hood latch in a reliable, safe, and lightweight manner. Right now we're using the hood loop attached to a piece of broad, flat aluminum that then gets sandwiched between the CF skin and Fibreglass underlay. (5 layers of CF would make the hood rediculously expensive, less than 5 layers wobbles @ higher speeds, so 'glass is used to provide rigidity

The $275 is a one time price if someone would commit to buying one at 7stock......I may consider a group purchase on any of the hoods available though..........
