I'm still in Seattle for the holiday and won't be back to the office until tomorrow (Wednesday). The brackets are back from powdercoating, after a startling 1 day turn-around. The fasteners are expected in on Wednesday and the price was nothing too scary, so that preliminary pricing looks good. Rod ends for the tensioner have not arrived and I don't yet have a good ETA. Hopefully, I can settle that quickly upon my return. I've been putting a lot of miles on a prototype, so I am confident that the alignment is good.

More updates after I return to Portland. Thanks for your continued pacience!

Let the games begin! Group Buy thread started in the Group Buy Forum. $10 deposits being accepted to confirm your spot in line. Units are expected ship before the end of next week...we're only waiting on one fastener and the rod ends for the tensioners.

General questions should still be posted here and only those questions or comments related to the actual Group Buy (e.g. price, shipping, availability) should be posted in the Group Buy thread.

Thanks!

Yeah, me too.

BTW, Blake, are you going to make an electric water pump adapter to work with the Davies Craig EWP pump? I've heard good things about it over the Meziere one, plus there is an adapter for the Meziere already..
What was your plan for it?

Yes, I'm working on it. One of many projects. Stay tuned....

Quick Update: 16 deposits taken in the first 24 hours of the group buy. Only 7 units remain available. All 10 heim-jointed tensioners are spoken for, but I'm starting a waiting list for the next batch. And, after all the current orders are fulfilled, I plan to fabricate another batch of alternator brackets...maybe fifty or even a hundred, so we can keep them in stock.

We conducted some further testing this evening and discovered that the brackets, which are 3/16" mild steel, are resistant to .45 Auto but not 5.56mm NATO.

No, the front cover is way different. If you wanted to modify a bracket to fit, it may be possible...no guarantee. If so, I can sell you an unpowdercoated bracket to play with. I also have the unbent blanks and the various bits that get welded onto the end product, if you are really adventurous and have the tools to take the fabrication the last mile.

BTW, the latest group buy is winding down, so if anyone wants in, you better contact me soon. Details are in the Group Buy forum thread. All the relavant info is on the last few pages, like what is included, the price and instructions.

I would like to see a bracket to move the FC powersteering down to where the AC compressor would be. that way allowing for a more direct route for the IC piping

Sorry to bring back a thread from the dead. Take it from me though, searching works! I've been needing something like this and I also see it on the pineapple racing site. Great work by the way!

Anyway I can put in a custom order for one that is resistant to 7.62mm. It'll help against all the insurgents! I'm just kidding. Blake, this is wonderful work. Please keep it up.
