Alternative Fan Shrouds?

Previous owner of my gsl-se installed an electric fan. He mounted it by making a custom bracket.

He did an okay job. But I'd like to cover it up with a shroud. As I'm kind of partial to my fingers and it would clean up the overall appearance of the engine bay.

Will a 2nd gen fan shroud fit? Any other fan shrouds that would work (A 626 maybe). Its tough to find 1st gen parts around here.

Thanks.

2nd gen will not, the radiator sits on an angle.

I'll cross that one off the list. But maybe a mazda of the same era.

I'm pretty handy so I could always add holes or slots to aid in mounting.

Would an 83-85 RX-7 shroud work for you?

If you have an se than you need a shroud from a fb with an oil cooler under the rad. either and 84 -85 se or a 79-80 both have larger shrouds the other fb's have the "bees nest" oil cooler under the oilfilter.

Thanks for the info.

I think I'm going to have to come up with something custom. The owner also mounted a fan infront of the oil cooler. So that might get in the way of the stock fan as well.

I'll probably take some measurements and then take a walk thru my local junkyard. See if anything will fit with a little modification. Cutting filing drilling hacking. If I do it this way then I'll update.
