Almost done! Last day wiring questions.

With the massive help you guys have given, we are almost there! Engine is back in, running the wiring. Got some 'what goes where' questions that my photos I took during the engine pull missed. And if it matters... 1981 12a pretty much bone stock. Engine pulled and rebuilt. Ran great before rebuild, but had oil leaks that required rebuild. Memory hints that maybe some of these were not plugged in to start with.

1. Three black terminals, right at the very end of the wiring harness under the carb. Nothing nearby that I can plug them in to.
2. One white terminal on the wiring harness, half way along its length as the harness runs behind the alternator, exits the harness about the same place as the wire that goes to the back of the alternator. Dont see anything there to plug in to.
3. Brass colored bracket that holds wire to starter motor and also holds a thick black/yellow striped wire that ends with a ring terminal. ITs currently down on the drivers side of the engine, near the steering box. A. Where does the brass colored bracket attach to? B. Where does the black/yellow wire with the ring terminal attach?
4. White terminal behind the passenger side headlight, near the radiator expansion tank. Nothing nearby to plug it in to.

Thanks!

# 3 goes on that big long bolt for the starter
#2 goes in the back of the alternator

J9fd3s is of course correct about #3 & 2. Here's where that plug goes on tge back of the alternator:

The plug behind the right headlight doesn't go anywhere; at least mine never has:

I don't have my nikki carb anymore but I remember several unused plugs coming from the harness there. I suspect that all the FB's used the same harness and on basic models, you had these unused plugs. Mine's an '85 S model and I assume all the unused plugs are for the GSL-SE fuel injection and/or various options mine never had.

Aha! on the alternator. Was looking for something dangling from a wire rather than an actual socket. That one is now found and sorted.
And yes, I too think there were 'spare' wires for different variations of the car and this is the very simplest version. The Kid noted how both rotor casings had redundant features as they were the same casting but had slightly different attachments so does seem to be a theme of value engineering built in to the vehicle.
And on the black/yellow starter ground wire, under the car I go. I hate hate HATE crawling under this car. Its in the street, and I have to have my feet sticking out in traffic, and it rained enough this morning to cause puddles. Oh, and the Mommywagons are out in force as it's school pickup time.

Lastly, that brass colored metal clamp in 3 that holds the starter power and ground wires. Where does it bolt to? Really want to limit my trips under the car!

I have my engine out (being rebuilt again) so lemme get a pic of my harness. I know there's a "big" bracket that mounts the starter wires to one of the engine-to- tranny bolts. Is that the one j9 said goes on the big starter bolt?

This guy right?

So there's 2 bolts holding the starter onto the tranny. The lower bolt is short and only threads into the tranny case. The Long UPPER bolt holds the starter on but is also one of the engine to tranny bolts. I know this is where that bracket mounts but I can't remember which side. I Think the bolt threads in from the rear and then a nut holds that bracket on the front side. 90-ish % sure.

And then this little funyun...

screws into it to hold the starter harness on (the larger cable goes back to the tranny - I think).

I forgot how oily my wiring was. Not only was the original engine bleeding like a pig.... I think the last owner poured oil into it from an 8' ladder. There was as much oil ON the engine as was dripping from the bottom!

Maxwedge. Got it! Was not exactly the same as your setup, but close enough to work out how to bolt the wire carrier and the ground lead to the longer starter motor bolt. And I think we had the same owner at one time, or the same oil leak. Its truly filthy around that starter motor! Now I got another problem, coolant leak, but thats a different post.
