All about AN Fittings, hoses, lines

This is from Aeroquips site, its in PDF and makes a nice reference book if you can print it. It's all about AN fittings, hoses, etc... and with a section on how it works, and how to assemble a hose. Great reading!

I used a 45 for the front, too sharp for a 90. 10ft is more than enough hose. the rear housing is 18mm. the front is 16mm. The cooler I dunno about. It depends. My 2nd gen cooler is 18mm.

72-78 RX-2, RX-3, and RX-4s are 16mm oil coolers
79-82 RX-7s are 16mm coolers
84-85 RX-7 GSL-SEs are 16mm coolers
86-92 RX-7 Turbo and non-turbo are 18mm coolers

All of the above have the 16mm front cover outlet, and the 18mm rear plate outlet.

If you saw the pics in one of my other posts, you would see that Im pretty sure that Im gonna need 90's in there.

When you price it all out, you see that the Racing Beat lines aren't that expensive after all, especially with all the guesswork taken out.

I know they won't work for RMD because of the custom install though.

They'd probably work if the cooler wasn't mounted like it is.

My SS lines are made for an FC.

No kidding. I figure $200 just for two damn lines, lol. But thats all new sealing washers, o rings and everything to do it "right" the first time. Plus I can say I made them myself, lol.

I downloaded the whole thing and put it in my ever-growing information folder .

Aeroquip is kinda expensive, there are other manufactures.... does anyone know the quality hit you take for going with a cheaper brand?

Aeroquip,
Earls
Goodridges (sp?)

All very similar, but stay with one brand only. They don't all fit with each other as well as they should.

Personally, I think Aeroquip is the best, and has the nicest anodized finish as well.

Dude, that's $198 NOT counting shipping.
Racing Beat's deal sounds pretty good now.

TJ, I don't think you'll need 10 feet of -10 line. 6 should be enough. Why don't you measure first and confirm.
Run a Garden hose through as a mock-up, and then measure.

I know its not counting shipping, but I still need the lines that are longer than the RB ones, with different fittings on the ends. Plus the adapters, and the new sealing washers, and the new o rings, and...I think you get the idea. I planned on running the hose for a mock up like you said, I just dont have one (apartment). I am gonna wait to buy the SS line until I can know for sure how much I need though.
