Air pump help please
I just took my Yaw intake off my car and put the stock one back on. Now when ever the air pump kicks on the car starts to run awfull. The second you start to here a hiss from the pump, the engine wont accelerate. I have troube getting into third gear cause it runs so bad. Any hints??
Please help, its the stock carb and stock exhaust. The pump worked fine about a month ago.

Looks like you may have one or more air lines leaking or misplaced.
The air pump may be spinning but there are various drive modes that determine where and if air is flowing. The air valve receives signals from the various sensors throughout the car. Damm thing is more complicated the Fuel injection system. Are you trying to pass smog? Otherwise I'd stick with the Yaw, but you probably have a good reason for going stock.
Back to the drawing board. If you don't get an exact suggestion of what to check, just go through everthing real carefully and review the Haynes manual.

air pump
Well I am trying to sell all my Yaw stuff, cause I just need reliability right now. I put the cats back on and drove on them this week (maybe 20 miles) I just dont want to burn them up without the airpump.
The car runs great whenever I dont here that hissing noise. I disconected all the electrical connections to the intake, made no difference. I even pulled the hose from the intake to the airpump. Still made no difference. So maybe the problem is somewhere in the intake. The intake worked fine when I took it off about a month ago.
Well thanks, hopefully some more people will reply.

Ok I found that if I plug the vacum line leading to the anti-afterburn no.2 my problem seems to dissapear. The valve is not stuck, but if I leave this line hooked up to the vacum rats nest then the car runs like crap. I guess it is just going to stay plugged, unless there are other suggestions.
Thanks
